Salsa

A friend found this recipe and we tried it out last year. We enjoyed it, and varied the spicy-ness with different jalapeno peppers.


8 c Tomato, peeled and chopped
2 1/2 c Onion - chopped
1 1/2 c Green Pepper
1 c Jalapeno, chopped
3 Tbsp garlic
2 tsp cumin
1/8 c Salt
1/3 c Vinegar
15 oz Tomato Sauce
12 oz Tomato Paste
1/4 c Cilantro

Combine all ingredients in a large pot. I use an immersion (stick) blender to combine ingredients smoothly. Leave as choppy as you want. Boil 10 minutes.

Process in water bath canner according to directions.
